Insurance Claims FAQ — Humble, TX
Do you work with my insurance company?
Yes. We work with all major insurance companies including
Progressive, State Farm, GEICO, Allstate, USAA, Farmers,
Nationwide, Liberty Mutual, and more. If your insurer isn't on
that list, call us — we almost certainly work with them too. We
handle the direct communication so you don't have to.
What do I need to bring when filing an insurance claim for auto
body repair?
Bring your insurance card, your claim number (if you've already
filed), and any accident report documentation you have. If you
haven't filed the claim yet, that's okay — we can help you
understand what information your insurer will need. The most
important step is getting a free estimate so we can document the
damage properly.
How does the insurance claims process work for collision repair?
The basic process: (1) You file a claim with your insurer or the
at-fault party's insurer. (2) Bring your vehicle to us for a free
damage assessment. (3) We write and submit the estimate directly
to your adjuster. (4) Once approved, we order parts and begin
repair. (5) If we find additional damage during repair, we file a
supplemental claim. (6) You pay your deductible and pick up your
vehicle. We handle everything in between.
Will my insurance rates go up if I file a claim for collision
repair?
Whether your rates increase depends on your specific policy, your
insurer, your claims history, and who was at fault in the
accident. This is a question for your insurance agent — we can't
answer it for your specific situation. What we can tell you is
that if you were not at fault, a claim through the other party's
insurance typically has no effect on your rates.
Can my insurance company force me to use their preferred body
shop?
No. Under Texas law, you have the legal right to choose any
licensed repair shop you want. Your insurer may recommend shops,
but they cannot require you to use them. You choose Redemption
Collision Center — we handle the rest and work directly with your
insurer from there.
