Auto Body & Paint FAQ — Humble, TX
Can you match my car's exact paint color?
Yes. We use your vehicle's factory paint code (found on a sticker
inside the driver's door jamb or in your paperwork) to mix an
exact match. For custom or aged paint, we can also do a
spectrophotometer scan to nail the color even if it's faded. Every
match is verified before it goes on the car.
How long does an auto body paint job take in Humble?
A single-panel spot repair can be done in 1–2 days. A multi-panel
job typically takes 3–7 days. A full vehicle repaint takes 1–2
weeks depending on prep work needed and the condition of the
existing finish. We'll give you a specific timeline when you bring
the car in.
Do you fix rust before painting?
Absolutely — and we don't cut corners on it. Painting over rust is
a short-term fix that will fail within months. We cut out the
rusted metal, treat the surrounding area, weld in new metal if
needed, prime it properly, and then paint. That's how you get a
repair that lasts.
Do I need insurance to get auto body or paint work done?
No. You can pay out of pocket for any body or paint work — no
insurance required. If you do have a claim, we can work with your
insurance company. If you're paying directly, we'll give you the
most competitive price we can and offer financing up to $5,000 if
needed.
What's the difference between a spot repair and a full repaint?
A spot repair targets one panel or a specific area — ideal for a
single dent, scratch, or collision repair. A full repaint covers
the entire vehicle, which makes sense when the paint is heavily
faded, you want a color change, or damage spans multiple panels.
